Buying a home can be exciting and daunting all at the same time; hopefully, buying somewhere that is newly built should be trouble-free. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.

The good news is that most problems with new-builds are easy to fix.

Very few buyers decide to commission a Snagging Schedule preferring to rely on the developers eye for detail and the comfort provided by a warranty and local authority involvement e.g. building regulation approval; this is often a false economy as it can be difficult to sort issues once you have handed over your money and moved in.

This is where the Snagging Schedule comes into its own. Unlike a traditional survey such as a Homebuyer Report, it will identify a list of issues that, in our opinion, should be drawn to the attention of the developers before you exchange contracts so they can be resolved before you complete the purchase.

Typically, issues relate to the standard of finish although this will largely depend on the level of site supervision by the developers during construction and their attention to detail.

The Snagging Schedule will provide you with peace of mind and allow you to focus on enjoying life in your new home from day one!
